A Letter For Her

Once upon a time there was a little girl who planned her days with dreamy thoughts of swing-set time, coloring, and play dough fun with her mommy.  When her mommy needed a break from play time she played fetch with her doggies and watched a little Max & Ruby on Nick Jr.  One day last week, like many days in the week, her mommy decided it was time to go out and take pictures, of things.  The little girl liked taking pictures most of the time, but sometimes it got a little boring.  When her mommy told her that they were going to take pictures of her in the chair and the train down at the Junction, she was puzzled.  What chair she asked? Her mommy explained that the chair was a very special chair, one that she herself sat in when she was little when she visited her grandmother's house. The little girl thought that sounded pretty good to her as long as she could bring her favorite toys.  So off they went down to the Junction.

This is how it went....

Down at the Junction the little girl's mommy started taking pictures like there was no tomorrow.  She put her in the old house that didn't have windows anymore and took a gazillion pictures in the window, behind the window, and in front of the window.  When mommy was done with the house, the chair came out of the car and they walked down the little dirt road to find a good place to put the chair.

Once the chair was in the perfect spot, mommy took lots of pictures while the little girl played with her toys.  As mommy took pictures she talked a lot about sitting in the chair when she was little.  The little girl didn't seem to care much about that, she was trying to find the perfect place for her toys to sit in her lap.

She cuddled her friends and covered their ears from the rumbling train noise.

Finally when mommy had taken enough pictures they decided to go get the mail at the Post Office.  The little girl loved getting the mail because there was always so much stuff in the tiny little box.  Mommy never seemed to like the stuff inside the box because she says it's always bills.  The little girl didn't know why Bill's stuff was always in their box but maybe he didn't have a box of his own.

Upon emptying the tiny little box, mommy noticed a piece of mail that wasn't hers.  The little girl's name was on it! It was the first letter she ever received addressed only to her!  The excitement of getting a letter was just too much for the little girl, her mind spun with wonderment.  Mommy opened it up for her and found inside was an invitation to a princess birthday party!  This was the first birthday party invitation she ever received where her big sisters weren't invited too.  Her mommy explained that it was from her friend Reagan.

The little girl was so happy that her day ended with such joy.  Her mind was filled with excitement and thoughts of the up-coming party, she drove home singing and laughing and asking when they were going to the party.  Mommy was filled with smiles, overjoyed for her little girl, and very happy she had her camera with her at the Post Office.

The End.
