Slow Down

In the hustle and bustle of this season, I took a moment to stop, think, and take a breath of fresh air.

Whenever we stop and take time for the little things to reflect on what's important in life, we soon come to realize that hustling and bustling really isn't worth it.

I stopped what I was doing in the house, called for Sophia, and told her we were going to take a walk.  She jumped up and down as if I had told her we were going to Disneyland.  We threw our boots on and headed for the door with Lucy (our dog) leading the way.

This is how it went....

Ready to lead the way, Lucy took us right down to the creek, one of my favorite places to be.

When we got down to the creek, I looked out to see what she was so excited about, she spotted the Palomino and miniature horses.

Looking at the picture doesn't give this scene the justice it deserves.  It's one of those surreal and peaceful sights that's hard to forget.

I'm glad Lucy brought us to the creek, we enjoyed our walk together and I had  time to reflect on things that are meaningful.
