There's a new puppy on the ranch...
And her name is LUCY!
This is how she came to be our new ranch dog...
A few weeks ago, some friends of ours were on vacation in Utah, while shopping in the little town, they happened along this family that was giving away chocolate labrador/australian shepard mix puppies.
They couldn't refuse her cute face and docile demeanor.
They took her with them on the rest of their vacation and brought her home to Arizona. Knowing they would find a great home for her, they added her to the 5-pack of dogs they already own and begin looking for a family that would love her!
I got the call from their youngest daughter asking me if we wanted another dog and prodding me to come see her.
I knew if I saw her I wouldn't be able to resist!
Worried how our other two dogs, Jack and King, would react to another
dog is something to think about. They are territorial and weird around other dogs sometimes.
Our friends brought her to the ranch and that is all she wrote! She is awesome; floppy, lovable, uncoordinated, great demeanor and knows the word No already! Love it!
The boys, Jack and King, are getting used to her....slowly. They haven't figured out that she is not a visitor, but staying for life. They have to get used to it, they don't have a choice. (Mama likes her new baby!)
Checking out her new surroundings and making her own space for herself, she tip-toed around the yard staying out of the way of the boys. She held her own against them, pretty good for a 3 month old puppy.
She'll have them eating out of her paw soon!
Time for a break to watch the butterfly's flutter around.
She will be a great addition to the brood of animals we have.
