[Continued scenes from our Round-Up 2011]
We had a great day beginning with the Cattle Work, followed by the BBQ, which led into some fun for the cowgirls who performed a little "On Stage Singing" with the band. For a little Down Time, guests played horseshoes and sand volleyball, sat by the cool water creek, or went on a hayride.
We didn't set an end time for the BBQ, so when it got to be dinner-time, we fired up the BBQ's again and grilled up some Spur-Kickin Jalapeños for an appetizer and finished off the Carne Asada beef from lunch.
Our night ended somewhere around mid-night. I can say without hesitation that when my body nestled into it's cocoon shaped dip in the mattress, it only took a millisecond to fall asleep.
This is how it went....
Jake cooked up 100 jalapeño poppers for appetizers. For those brave enough to try them...mouth-watering is the best word for it!
Vic stoked the fire getting the coals ready for the barbecue.
Hungry people waiting for more FOOD!
Serious conversation going on.
Jake tried to teach Sophia how to jump rope.
We need to give her a couple more years till she's a pro-jumper!
My friend Erin relaxing after dinner.
My friends, Amy and Erin!
Thank you to all of our friends and family for coming out to the ranch and enjoying a beautiful day together!
Can't wait until next year!
