It’s been a long 5 day 4 night journey to Anaheim, California for our daughter’s Volleyball Tournament.
We got home late last night and my legs were so happy to un-pretzel from the 1’ X 1’ square of space I had left after my purse, camera bag, snacks bag, trash bag and reading necessities took from my foot room.
Today will be filled with unloading 5 suitcases and laundering all of the stinky items.
It will be nice to get back on a schedule for Sophia of regular meals and nap times as the candy, peanuts and Gatorade for breakfast got old real quick.
While away, I missed the comforts of home, but so enjoyed the fancy free lifestyle of staying up late, eating whatever whenever,
watching endless volleyball matches, Disneyland, shopping and
spending quality time with our family and friends.
We all had a lot of fun and only had a few minor incidents like…
Our Team Mom’s car was towed for parking in a secret spot she found.
One of the coaches had their truck stolen from their hotel, The Embassy Suites.
And last but not least, some of our parents got fired up and took their frustrations out on the coaches, by yelling at them.
On the positive side, which I like to focus on, I had some pretty awesome
Mom Moments like….
I watched my baby (middle child) play her game of volleyball and feel like the proudest mom there.
I watched my baby (oldest child) try on her first Prom Dress which pulled my heart-strings and made my eyes fill with tears.
I watched my baby see the wonderments of Disneyland which gave me a smile from the deepest parts of my heart and soul.
I will post some pictures of the trip later today when I have time to sort through all 516 of them!
Have a great day!
