Sophia and I decided to have a picnic today.
We were going to have a simple lunch on the patio...
But when she brought me two plastic tea cups I couldn't resist making it a tea party. Those little tea cups and cute smile made me think of when I used to have tea parties with Hailey and Megan when they were little.
Those were the days....
and here they are again...I'm in heaven.
This is how it went.....
She makes my heart melt.
She picked out a dress her Grama Lou gave her and danced and twirled around like little girls do until it was time to eat.
Her little hands make my heart melt too. I can't help it.
She was so happy to have her own plate set in front of her that she squeezed the plate, scrunched her shoulders, and squealed with excitement!
Together we made flower-power PB&J sandwiches with fruit sticks. I loved watching her little fingers hold the stick and try to put a grape on it.
On the menu was Cheetos of coarse! Sophi's favorite.
She didn't like the orange fingers. Probably because I kept saying don't wipe your fingers on your dress or the doily's that Nana made.
Since Sophi isn't a "tea" fan we chose a special bottle of Black Cherry Cream Soda. It was a hit, she drank a lot.
Still not done with that soda.
And one more time. She really liked it.
Love this little angel.
Wished my big girls weren't at school today.
